For custom work: The work must be established up front (within reason). That typically includes the size of the piece, the material, desired details, price, and time limits. If I make a mistake, its on my buck, if the buyer changes their mind then it's on their buck. I require $1/3 payment price to start, this is to acquire material. For castings, the wax must be approved prior to pouring metal. I require $2/3 payment price to ship. Buyer pays the shipping cost. The final payment is made with approval of work received.
