Bgmotor: The lens motor assembly from BG Micro is the
best deal I have come across for geared motors. $9.99
is hard to beat for the small size and quality of
motor. If you have them or are planning to get some,
I have found a bonus feature of theirs. On the motor
drive shaft, there is a spring clutch with the drive
gear attached. To disassemble, simply compress the
compression spring and twist the plastic end. Place
your drive, gear/arm/leg/leg's where the original
drive gear is. Any 0.1" thick material, with a XX
hole in it could be used. Need a higher clutch force,
then leave the original gear on as well as your
material thickness and reattach plastic lock. I found
it necessary to better attach the plastic clutch
assembly to the motor drive shaft, and applied
superglue as necessary. With this approach I am
please with the speed with which a drive system can be
attached.
